Our library made #5 in a list of best libraries in Wisconsin! Wow! Just found out a few minutes ago from someone in the community.

Dear Bayfield Library Friends and Patrons,

Our historic Carnegie library is a community legacy that enriches our lives in so many ways—both for year-round residents and for the many seasonal patrons who live here. Our mission is to be “a compass for curious minds”, providing books, DVDs, magazines, newspapers and Wi-Fi in an inclusive atmosphere. The library's diverse programs strive to educate, entertain, and inspire people of all ages.

In 2015, to protect the financial stability and well-being of our library into the future, the board established an endowment fund through the Apostle Island Area Community Fund. To date, we have reached $42,597 toward our target goal of $100,000 within three years. The generosity of patrons like you, with gifts both large and small, is absolutely essential to attain this goal.

Recently an anonymous donor has stepped forward with a matching grant of $10,000 to support the endowment effort. The library community must complement this gift by raising another $10,000 by January 2018. Your contribution to our effort helps ensure the endowment's future.

Make your check out to Duluth-Superior Community Fund, mark the 'memo' with; “Bayfield Library Endowment”, and return it to PO Box 332, Bayfield, WI. 54814. OR, donate on line by checking the box marked “Bayfield Library Endowment Fund” at www.apostleislandscommunityfund.org
