Virtual Poetry Evening with Bayfield Carnegie Library

Bayfield Poet Laureate Lucy Tyrrell and former Wisconsin Poet Laureate Denise (Dee) Sweet will share poems about a variety of topics including summer activities, the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment, and Black Lives Matter.

The evening includes Open Mic — bring a poem to read, or join as an audience listener.

Lucy Tyrrell will be reading her poem, "Votes for Women", a poem she created at the request of the League of Women Voters of Ashland and Bayfield Counties to honor the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th amendment, which gives women the right to vote.
